Like flexible endoscope, the insertion part of industrial video endoscope is soft and flexible. The main difference lies in different imaging methods. CCD is a photoelectric coupling device, which can convert optical signals into electrical signals, and has the characteristics of small volume, high resolution and sensitivity and anti electromagnetic interference. Video endoscope uses this characteristic of CCD device as imaging medium.

探頭前部的物鏡將被檢物體成像到其后的CCD接收面上，CCD把物像轉(zhuǎn)變成電信號，經(jīng)信號線傳至一個獨立的視頻控制單元（其間的距離長可達到30m），再將影像輸出到CRT監(jiān)視器上顯示。

（l）圖像清晰，分辨率高工業(yè)視頻內(nèi)窺鏡選用的CCD接收面上的像素數(shù)（一個像素就是一個光敏元）通常為幾十萬個，如工業(yè)常用的l/2"CCD攝像頭有440，000像素（752H>5S2V），遠遠超過了光纖傳像束的單絲數(shù)量，因此擁有極高的圖像分辨率，同時還消除了光纖固有的模糊不清及蜂房影像。另一個特性是圖像的亮度高，由于CCD接收面靠近被檢物，因此相對于剛性內(nèi)窺鏡中的轉(zhuǎn)像透鏡組或撓性內(nèi)窺鏡中的傳像光纖而言幾乎沒有什么光能損失，可獲得高亮度的清晰圖像。
